WWE considered an incredibly rare idea for The Undertaker’s Hall of Fame induction during WrestleMania weekend.

It was announced earlier this month that The Undertaker would the first inductee to the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame. Celebrating his 30 year-WWE career, in which he won seven world titles and embarked on a unbeaten WrestleMania streak that went twenty-one matches before his defeat to Brock Lesnar in 2014.

His once in a lifetime career and long loyalty to WWE is matched by no other Superstar, which The Undertaker persona will go down as the greatest ‘gimmick’ in this history of the company. Feats that had many fans speculating if The Undertaker could be the only inductee for the class of 2022. Something that hasn’t happened since Andre The Giant was a sole Hall of Fame inductee upon the formation of the honour in 1993.

Now WrestleVotes has reported that WWE were in agreement with the possibility, and a solo induction had been considered, although now looks unlikely.

Although the idea was in fact considered, I’m told The Undertaker will not be a “solo” inductee at this year’s Hall of Fame. Source expects additional names will be announced soon, potentially starting tomorrow.”

There has been very little reported on who will now join The Deadman in the 2022 class, nor who will be given the ultimate honour of inducting The Undertaker during the ceremony. With names such as Kane, Triple H, Mick Foley or even Vince McMahon being suggested by fans online.

The Undertaker bought the curtain down on his illustrious career at WrestleMania 36. Defeating AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match, the cinematic main event to night one of the show.
