On June 6, 2021, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather took on popular YouTuber Logan Paul. It was an exhibition match no one saw coming until the announcement, and it did over one million pay-per-view buys. After eight rounds, the legendary boxer and social media star couldn’t be separated and the fight finished with no announced winner, which, unsurprisingly, frustrated fans.It seemed as though things were calm between the fighters since the bout, but, as time has progressed, the situation seems to have gone downhill. This has escalated to the point that Paul may even attempt to sue Mayweather.Speaking with Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’, Logan Paul talked about the process after the fight with Mayweather and what went wrong.“You tell me, man. I’ve not been paid in full, that is a fact. There also have been alleged under the table cash deals that I was excluded from even though my name and likeness was used to sell our fight. He’s in for multiple lawsuits for this fight already.”

He goes on to elaborate about the approach from Floyd himself and the legendary boxer’s mindset about the financial standing. The YouTuber even laughed at the situation with Mayweather as he unpicked Floyd’s attempt at limiting his purse.

“He used the verbiage, ‘legalised bank robbery’ when describing but turns out it wasn’t so legal [laughs]. We’re just trying to collect what’s rightfully ours.

“It sucks that he came out recently and said something like, ‘This is the name of the game. This is how it works in boxing,’ but I don’t know if it is.

“I think after you fight you should probably get paid. I don’t think it takes this long to count the money.”

Helwani then asked about the amount of pay-per-view buys the fight did, to which Logan revealed that the believed number is 1.2 million.

“Everyone was floating around numbers beforehand. I thought it would be a little bit higher to be honest with you. Maybe I’m just being f****** greedy but I’m happy with it.”

Also, it has been noted that Logan has been upping his workouts for the first time in months in preparation for a future boxing match, though, he doesn’t have anything currently lined up.

It’s unclear what the future is for Paul, but it seems he’s got a lot on his plate in terms of battling for the money he believes he’s owed following such a huge fight.
