Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun would have enjoyed helping Middlesbrough knock Tottenham Hotspur out of the FA Cup.Balogun joined Middlesbrough on loan from the Premier League outfit in January until the end of the season. He came on in the second half and watched as fellow substitute Josh Coburn scored the winner in the 107th minute.Having also played a part in Boro’s win against Manchester United in the fourth round,  the 20-year-old has been involved in a couple of memorable matches during his loan spell with the Championship side.Imagine the reaction from Arsenal supporters if Balogun had scored the winner.

Balogun destroyed Romero

Still, Gooners were treated to a pretty special moment from their young forward at the expense of Tottenham’s Cristian Romero.

With little space to work with on the left, Balogun managed to get out of trouble and embarrass Romero in the process with a delightful piece of skill.

The Argentinian defender was completely spun by Balogun’s quick feet.

Fans react to Balogun's skill

Fans on Twitter thoroughly enjoyed the England Under-21 international’s moment of magic.

“Balogun sent Romero back to Argentina,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another added: “Celebrate well tonight @balogun. Don’t forget to take Romero out of your pocket.”

Spurs' trophy drought goes on

Tottenham’s defeat means it’s now 14 seasons without a trophy and perhaps even more concerning for Antonio Conte is the lack of consistency his side are showing right now.

Defeats at home to Southampton and Wolves were followed up by that 3-2 win at Man City last month.

Yet Spurs couldn’t build on the City win, falling to Burnley just four days later.

And the Middlesbrough defeat has stunted any momentum they might have generated from the 4-0 win at Leeds United.

Conte: The desire is there

After the defeat, Conte insisted the hunger to improve Spurs' fortunes is there.

"In this moment I'm the last person, I don't think about myself," he said, per football.london. "When I speak with my players and in my team and say that we have to think about 'us', not 'me'.

"For me no problem and for me there is the desire, the will, the patience to try to continue to work very hard to improve, to make this team more stable than the past, because I think this is the key that can change the situation."
