WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has waded in on Vince McMahon’s potential in-ring return at WrestleMania 38.

It was widely reported last week that plans are in place for the WWE Chairman to step back into the squared circle for a match with Pat McAfee in Dallas next month - something which could be triggered from his appearance on McAfee’s show later today.

The 76-year-old hasn’t competed in any kind of match since going up against CM Punk on an episode of Monday Night Raw nearly ten years ago, but is expected to be on the card for WrestleMania.

Speaking on this week’s Hall of Fame podcast, former World Heavyweight Champion Booker T commented on McMahon’s possible WrestleMania match and claimed it should something that gives everyone inspiration.

"I read Vince would be part of a storyline at WrestleMania 38. I don't know what that actually means, but if Vince were to lace them up and get back in the ring at 76, it would definitely be something that men should be inspired to see."I say it all the time, 'How are you going to tell a man he can't do it anymore?'. How are you going to tell a man, 'You're just too damn old. Just stay at the house and don't ever come out."

WWE are looking make WrestleMania a stacked card, with not only a possible return for Vince McMahon but also Stone Cold Steve Austin, too. Booker believes McMahon’s appearance is all about showing the younger talent ‘how it’s done’.

"I can respect Vince if he was to be thinking about going out and having a match because it's his company. Sometimes you say, 'Man, I have to lead by example. I have to show these young guys how to do it'. Whether that's wise or not, that's how we think".

As well as McMahon and Austin, WrestleMania will be headlined by the title vs title unification match between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
