Matio Balotelli has produced so many iconic celebrations during his career as a footballer.

His most famous celebration, without doubt, occurred in the Manchester Derby back in 2011.

The Italian scored the opener against fierce rivals Man United at Old Trafford and subsequently unveiled the iconic T-shirt which read: 'Why Always Me?'

Another one of his iconic celebrations occurred exactly thee years ago on March 3, 2019.

Balotelli was in the starting line-up for Marseille's Ligue 1 clash with St Etienne. He scored the opener after just 12 minutes.

The maverick striker then went to the sidelines, picked up his phone from a photographer, and recorded a selfie video of him and his teammates celebrating.

Watch the goal below, which happened to be a brilliant acrobatic effort from a corner.

Balotelli posted the video he recorded on Instagram and the footage is brilliant.

Marseille also posted a video after the game which included both the perspective of both the photographer and Balotelli.

Balotelli really is a maverick. His team selfie video was one of many iconic moments he's produced on the football pitch during his career.

Balotelli, now 31, currently turns out for Adana Demirspor in the Super Lig. He has scored 10 goals in 20 Turkish top-flight games this season.

The striker recently gave an interview to the Athletic where he admitted he did not fulfil his potential.

He said: "I missed some chances to be at that level, but I am 100 per cent sure that my quality is the same level as these people, but I… I missed some chances, you know? It happens.

"And nowadays, I cannot say I’m as good as Ronaldo, because Ronaldo won how many golden balls (Ballons d’Or)? Five?

"You cannot compare yourself to Messi and Ronaldo, nobody can.

"But if we’re talking about only quality, football quality, I have nothing to be jealous of them, to be honest."
