UFC 272 Predictions

Here is the full fight card for UFC 272 as it stands (as of Wednesday 2nd March 2022 according to UFC.com) and our predictions for the fights:

Early Prelims – SAT, MAR 5 / 11:00 PM GMT

Brian Kelleher vs. Umar Nurmagomedov – Featherweight Bout

  • We predict that Nurmagomedov will outwork Kelleher and take the unanimous decision win

Tim Elliott vs. Tagir Ulanbekov – Flyweight Bout

  • We predict that Ulanbekov will win, as he will be too well rounded for Elliot to really get anything going

Ludovit Klein vs. Devonte Smith – Lightweight

  • We’re predicting that Smith wins via knockout/TKO, likely in the second

Dustin Jacoby vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk – Light Heavyweight Bout

  • We’re predicting Jacoby to take the win via decision

Prelims – SUN, MAR 6 / 1:00 AM GMT

Jalin Turner vs. Jamie Mullarkey - Lightweight Bout

  • We predict that Turner will take the win, likely via decision

Marina Rodriguez vs. Yan Xionan – Women’s Strawweight Bout

  • We predict that Rodriguez will take the win here, but it’ll be a close fight with a possible split decision finish

Nicolae Negumereanu vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu – Light Heavyweight Bout

  • This is a tough one to call, but we’re predicting that Negumereanu will take the knockout/TKO win

Maryna Moroz vs. Mariya Agapova – Women’s Flyweight Bout

  • We predict that Agapova will have too much for Moroz to handle and win via knockout/TKO, possibly in the second round

Here's everything you need to know about the UFC 272 fight card

Main Card – SUN, MAR 6 / 3:00 AM GMT

Colby Covington vs. Jorge Masvidal – Welterweight Bout

  • The big one! We’re expecting that both men will come out swinging, but that Covington will have too much in the way of wrestling ability for Masvidal to compete. As much as people think this will be a knockout/TKO, we’re actually going for the decision in favour of Covington.

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Renato Moicano – 160 pound Catchweight Bout

  • A last-minute change to the card sees RDA fighting at a catchweight, and you know what? We predict that Moicano might actually catch him with a submission. It’s that, or RDA wins via decision, and it is so tough to judge due to the fight being called so late and Moicano not getting a real fight camp!

Edson Barboza vs. Bryce Mitchell – Featherweight Bout

  • We’re predicting that Mitchell will take the win here via knockout/TKO, but a decision win wouldn’t shock us either.

Kevin Holland vs. Alex Oliveira – Welterweight Bout

  • We’re predicting that Holland will get a tick in the win column here via knockout/TKO, quite possibly in the first round.

Greg Hardy vs. Sergey Spivak – Heavyweight Bout

  • We’re predicting that Spivak will be able to take the win via knockout/TKO, but a submission victory wouldn’t shock us too much!
