Manchester United's Katie Zelem captured the spotlight on Saturday after scoring two insane goals straight from the corner spot. The Reds captain replicated the almost identical goal she scored last week in the FA Cup against Manchester City, marking her third goal from a corner in two consecutive matches.Zelem's brace contributed to Man United's 4-0 win over Leicester City in the Women's Super League to see them move up to third in the table.First half goals from Martha Thomas and Alessia Russo set the tone for the fixture at Leigh Sports Village, and Zelem popped up in the second half to put the final nail in the coffin with her stupendous right foot. The skipper netted twice in the space of four minutes — curling her set-piece straight into the back of Demi Lambourne's net.

Zelem has been with Man United since the women's team was reintroduced just four years ago after being disbanded in 2005. The Red Devils enjoyed a dream inaugural season in the Championship — finishing top of the league and earning promotion in the WSL.

Since then, United have looked solid in England's top flight and are constantly pushing for a spot in the top three to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

After former skipper Alex Greenwood left the club in 2019 to join Lyon, the captaincy was passed on to Zelem. After spending her youth career with the Manchester outfit, the 26-year-old returned in 2018 and has been a prominent figure in the team since.

Man United have never finished below fourth in the table — last season, they finished just one point shy of third place, narrowly missing out on European football. This time round, finishing in the top three will certainly be the club's main aim.

After their exit from the FA Cup last week, the Reds can now put their full focus on the WSL. There are seven matches left in the 2021/22 season and next on the schedule for United is Reading away from home on Saturday, March 12th.
