Currently in the world of boxing, it seems to any outsider as though every single fight centres around YouTube star Jake Paul.

Previously, Paul has called out legendary fighters such as Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor, but the Problem Child now has his eyes set on another UFC fighter, with Kamaru Usman someone that Paul would like to take to the ring.

However, when asked by a fan, Usman insisted he would only step into the ring with a ‘real fighter’.

Usman said, per a report in The Sun: “I am going to answer your question, if we are going to fight, we are going to fight a real fighter. A real fighter”, he repeated.

Last year regarding Paul’s demands, the Nigerian tweeted: “I understand you think this is a game which is probably why you don’t realise that this is how people truly get hurt.”

The YouTuber-turned-boxer responded with:

Jake Paul made an impressive $40 million from his three boxing fights in 2021

“Challenge accepted… if your boss Dana [White] gives you permission to box me and make more money than you ever have, let me know and we can lace them up. I promise you it will be your biggest pay day.”

Currently, Paul’s boxing record stands at 5-0, with his latest victory coming against Tyron Woodley last year, a man who the 25-year-old has beaten twice.

As for Usman, the Nigerian Nightmare has other ideas as he told TMZ: “In 2022, I am going to shock the world. July, International Fight Week, I am going to fight Leon Edwards.

“God willing, I get through Leon Edwards, September, Mexican Independence Day, I will stop Canelo Alvarez.

“Absolutely I see myself winning the fight, everything cannot be done until it is done. We are talking nine figures, for sure.”

It seems as though the 34-year-old has a number of events pencilled into his diary for 2022 but coming up against Jake Paul doesn’t look an option at this particular time for Usman.
