WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has called his infamous WrestleMania Shooting Star Press against Kurt Angle as ‘a foolish thing to do’.

It was WrestleMania 19 when Brock Lesnar main evented the show for the very first time in a WWE Championship match against Kurt Angle. During the bout’s closing stages, Lesnar pulled something out of his arsenal that fans had yet to see him do on WWE TV.

Climbing the turnbuckle, Brock attempted a Shooting Star Press off the top rope but famously landed short of Angle and landed awkwardly on his head.

Speaking on The Michael Kay Show, Brock commented on the famous moment and admitted it’s a move he should never have done.

That was foolish on my behalf. You get people, producers, and people higher up in the company; they always want this WrestleMania moment, which would be fantastic. So, I would practice it the night before. I was doing it in OVW when I was being trained. I’m 310 pounds, 6’3″, doing a front backflip off the top, hitting guys, and winning matches. Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, bless his soul; you don’t need to do that. Stop doing that.Thankfully, I didn’t break my neck or anything. I shouldn’t have done it. I finished the match, had a concussion. Thankfully, that was the worst of it. Kurt helped me through and was talking to me. He should have rolled me over and pinned me, went off script.”

Brock’s next WrestleMania date comes next month when he clashes with Roman Reigns, in what’s being billed as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time. With both titles on the line in a unification match that will main event WrestleMania Sunday.
