Monday Night Raw saw a major title change, as RK-Bro won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships.

In the opening match of the night, RK-Bro took on the team of Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Kevin Owens and Raw Tag Team Title holders Alpha Academy, in a thoroughly entertaining tag team triple-threat outing.

In the closing stages of the match Rollins and Owens hit Chad Gable with their flurry of finishing manoeuvres, only for Riddle to re-enter the fray to remove Rollins from the ring and pin Gable to get the victory for his team.

The win marks RK-Bro’s second reign with the Raw Tag Team Titles and will now defend the championships at WrestleMania against a yet unnamed opponent. While the road to WrestleMania remains unclear for former champs Alpha Academy and most interestingly Seth Rollins.

After the bout, Orton took to the mic to admit that he’s having more fun as part of RK-Bro than he’s had in this near twenty-year career in WWE. Calling Riddle his ‘friend’ and noting that he’s the only one he’s got in the locker-room.

The Raw Tag Team championships have quite the history at WrestleMania. In 2017 The Hardy Boyz make their iconic return to WWE to beat The Bar, Enzo and Big Cass and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Fatal-Four-Way tag team ladder match. A year later Braun Strowman shocked fans by choosing ten-year-old Nicolas as his tag team partner to win the titles from Sheamus and Ceasro.

At last year’s WrestleMania AJ Styles and Omos beat The New Day to win The Raw Tag Team Championships, but it remains to be seen who the challengers will be for Randy Orton and Riddle in Dallas.
