Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is looking more and more like his dad as new footage goes viral

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr appears determined to follow in his famous father’s footsteps by becoming a professional footballer.

The 11-year-old is currently on Manchester United’s books following his dad’s transfer to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer of 2021.

Cristiano Jr signed his first professional deal with the Red Devils in February after spending the previous few months training with the club’s youngsters.

It was reported in 2019 that Ronaldo’s eldest son had scored 58 goals in 28 games in Juve’s youth ranks.

Various video clips have been posted to social media in recent years which show the lad clearly has talent, which is no shock considering his superstar dad is one of the greatest footballers in history.

The latest video of Cristiano Jr features the youngster showing off his skills while wearing his Man Utd gear and it’s gone viral on social media, racking up thousands of retweets.

Cristiano Jr wants to play alongside his dad

The youngster, who wears Man Utd’s No. 7 shirt for his age group, wants to play alongside his father before his old man calls time on his illustrious career.

Ronaldo, per The Sun, said: “My son tells me, ‘Dad hold on a few more years – I want to play with you.’”

Does Cristiano Ronaldo think his son will make it to the top?

However, Ronaldo fears that his son will lack the determination required to make it to the very top.

This is according to none other than UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov, who revealed in an interview filmed in 2021: “He told me he wanted his son to succeed him but he was worried his son won’t be able to do it since when Cristiano himself was his age, he could only dream about a pair of simple cleats [boots].

“His son has everything. So he’s worried that he will never feel that hunger.”

In 2020, meanwhile, Ronaldo told an audience: “I’m hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes and I’m p***** with him.

“I fight with him when he eats chips and fries and everything, he knows I don’t like it.

“But to be honest he has potential, he is a big boy, he’s fast and he’s driven well.

“But this nothing, I tell him every time, it takes a lot of dedication, a lot of hard work.

“Sometimes when we’re at home I say ‘go to the treadmill to run a bit’ and after the treadmill I say ‘now go to the cold water to recover to do it tomorrow again,’ and it’s ‘daddy, it’s so cold the water I don’t want to do it.’ But I understand it, he’s only 10 years old, it’s up to him.”
