Real Madrid kept their hopes of winning a 14th European Cup title alive on Wednesday evening as they produced an incredible comeback to defeat Paris Saint-Germain.

Real were 2-0 down going into the final half-hour of their last-16 tie.

But they never gave up and they shocked their opponents in a scintillating finish to the game.

Karim Benzema hit the back of the net in the 61st and 76th minute to draw Real level.

Just 12 seconds after PSG took kick-off after the second goal, Benzema had the ball in the back of the net once again.

The atmosphere inside the Santiago Bernabeu when Benzema completed his hat-trick was electric.

Everyone connected with Los Blancos went crazy as the Frenchman completed the comeback.

The atmosphere created by the Real Madrid fans in the final 30 minutes was something else and Carlo Ancelotti paid tribute to them after the game.

He said, per Real Madrid's official website: “It’s the magic of the stadium that has such a fantastic history, of a club that has a fantastic history. It’s a special night, truly spectacular.

Real will find out their opponents for the quarter-finals on March 18. Real will no doubt be high in confidence and won't fear any team after downing PSG in dramatic fashion.
