Israel Adesanya is still interested in fighting UFC GOAT Jon Jones after his win over Robert Whittaker.

But speaking to TMZ, where he also revealed he has received offers to star in Hollywood movies, Adesanya insisted he doesn't need it to cement himself as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time as his legacy is already intact.

The UFC middleweight champion, also known by fans as 'The Last Stylebender', successfully defended his belt last time out in Houston against his Australian rival Bobby Knuckles.

Adesanya admits he is still keen to take on the man widely regarded as the best MMA fighter in the world.

But Izzy insists that he doesn't need it for his legacy, he just likes the idea of a challenge.

Adesanya said: “I don’t need it, but I do want it.

“I don’t need it, though, that’s the thing. People think I need that for my legacy. Nah, I’m good where I’m at.

"I like light heavyweight. That’s where he was dominant, so I really want it to be at light heavyweight. He put my name in his mouth first.

"He was a fan and then he realized there’s an opportunity there. You’re supposed to be the GOAT, and you want to fight me? That shows me you think I’m a threat.

“F*** this c***. But hey, he needs to find himself first. Fight his demons, that’s the main thing he needs to be fighting.

"Go back to church. Philippians 3:16 (4:13) or whatever it was. Go back to church.”

Adesanya previously expressed interest in fighting Jones during an interview with MMA Fighting last year.

He said: "The story’s not told yet, Ariel. The story's still out there.

“I don’t think we’re ever going to see Jon Jones fight at heavyweight.

“F***, he’s been saying this since 2013. You either get it done or you don’t. I see it. I see it 100 per cent.

"But that’s the thing. You’ve got to know when to hold them, you’ve got to know when to fold them, and the song is not over yet. So stay tuned.

"We’ll fight one day. I don’t know where or how it’s going to happen. I just have an idea of what’s going to happen.

"But yeah, see if he moves up in weight first. See if he moves up in weight first and deals with these guys there. I think he can, but does he think he can?”
