Conor McGregor has taken aim at former UFC champion Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo on Twitter once again this morning.

Notorious retweeted Triple C’s tweet from 2016, simply saying: “Fat midget novice. Lick a*** for press.”

It isn’t the first time the pair have exchanged words on social media, earlier this year McGregor made a dig at Cejudo for asking UFC president Dana White for a title shot.

McGregor isn’t shy to call out fighters, from any sport, on social media. He recently exchanged words with boxing champ and well-known handyman with his fists Tyson Fury.

This jibe from McGregor comes after the former two-weight champion shared a video of him training as he aims to return to UFC this year.

Cejudo replied with a dig of his own: “Your hands are down and your distance is off. Stay away from them yes men. Just a tip from the goat.”

McGregor took exception to this and found a 2016 tweet from Triple C, where the UFC fighter ends a short tweet with the hashtag greatest of all time.

The exchange comes at a time when talks about who McGregor’s next opponent will be are heating up. The Irishman has been out of action for some time after breaking his tibia in the Octagon last time out against Dustin Poirier.

Cejudo would be a tough opponent for McGregor to come back to. Triple C has a record of 16-2 in professional MMA and last year claimed Notorious was ‘finished’. He also claimed that McGregor would need to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match as his time in UFC was up.

McGregor isn’t one to shy away from any battle in the Octagon, a fight against Triple C would be no different.

The restart of their Twitter beef may be the catalyst needed to get a fight between the two organised.
