The biggest boxing pay-per-view stars of all time have been revealed by talkSPORT and it’s very interesting to see who comes out on top.

The radio station has looked into different eras to work out who the biggest fighters were in areas such as viewing figures and highest-paid fighters at the time.

Obviously it's tricky to compare your older generations to current day, especially due to the influx in money and financial backing of the sport, but talkSPORT have taken into consideration inflation in their findings.

You may think that top of the list will be a fighter who has been involved in recent times, but that’s not the case at all.

Muhammad Ali is top in the list due to the fact that Ali vs George Foreman grossed $100 million and was watched by a billion people worldwide.

He had many other big fights and due to his charismatic personality he sold out many arenas, and if he was fighting in the current era, his paydays would be mind-boggling.

In second place is Iron Mike Tyson. The Baddest Man on the Planet was able to generate massive audiences as he was capable of a knockout at any time.

Floyd Mayweather is next, despite him not being as exciting as the other names who appear on the list.

His fights against Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor were massive. It helped him earn an estimated $1 billion in his career.

Jack Dempsey fought in the 1920s, but the man who was part of boxing’s first $1 million gate in front of 91,000 people, is next.

Sugar Ray Leonard appears in fifth place and George Foreman follows him.

Foreman was part of ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’ with Ali, but he was a box-office hit in his own right.

Sugar Ray Robinson was a trailblazer and he earned over $4 million, which was incredible money at that time during the 1950s and 1960s. That's enough to earn him seventh in the list.

In eighth and ninth position are De La Hoya and Pacquiao. They both had massive fights against Mayweather where they were to come up short, but the duo earned incredible popularity during their careers.

The only currently active boxer on the list rounds up the top 10 – that man being Mexican Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez

He’s earned $225 million so far in his career and is massive in Mexico and the US in particular.
