Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would struggle to keep his big-name stars happy if he succeeds in welcoming Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka to Anfield in the summer, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Klopp added to his wealth of attacking talent by completing the £49million acquisition of Luis Diaz during the January transfer window, but it appears the German is already looking to strengthen his wide options even further in a matter of months.

What's the latest news involving Saka?

According to ESPN, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Arsenal winger Saka ahead of potentially looking to prise him away from the Emirates Stadium at the end of the campaign.

The report suggests the Reds will pounce if the Gunners fail to book a Champions League spot for next season, but they could face competition from fellow Premier League title chasers Manchester City.

Arsenal are currently in the top four and boast as many as three games in hand over sides around them in the standings, meaning they are in the driving seat to qualify for Europe's elite club competition.

Saka is approaching the final two years of his £33,000-per-week contract with the north Londoners, meaning Arsenal could be in a precarious position if they cannot persuade the 20-year-old to pen an extended deal.

However, it was revealed last month that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is looking to hold negotiations over a new contract which would make Saka one of the highest-paid players at the Emirates Stadium as 'his importance to the team is unquestionable'.

What has Paul Brown said about Saka?

Brown has questioned whether Liverpool should pursue Saka as they already have an abundance of options in his preferred position.

Mohamed Salah has made the right-wing slot his own by firing in 153 goals since joining the Merseyside giants, while the likes of Sadio Mane, Harvey Elliott and Takumi Minamino are also capable of slotting in.

Brown feels adding Saka to the Anfield squad would give Klopp an even bigger selection headache he does not need.

The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "I cannot believe that Liverpool would be in the market for Saka to add to what they've already got there. They've just got a logjam in that position."

Why is Saka on Liverpool's radar?

Having come through the Arsenal ranks, Saka has adjusted to the rigours of senior football impressively and already chalked up 119 appearances for the north Londoners.

Saka is clearly a threat in the attacking third of the pitch and boasts plenty of Premier League experience, despite still being in the early stages of his career, having amassed 28 goal involvements in the competition.

The £58.5million-rated gem has also worked his way into the England set-up and claimed 14 caps for the Three Lions.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour is among Saka's admirers and has previously described him as a 'revelation', while former Premier League frontman Kevin Phillips has tipped the wide-man to be a long-term Anfield replacement for Salah.
