Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte already 'knows who he wants' to sign ahead of the summer transfer window opening for business, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Spurs are looking to break into the Premier League's top four in order to return to the Champions League, but they are currently six points adrift of arch-rivals Arsenal, who also boast a game in hand.

Who have Spurs been linked with ahead of the window?

Tottenham have leaked 35 goals in 27 Premier League outings this season, so it should come as no surprise that Conte is seemingly looking to strengthen his backline.

The Telegraph revealed last month that central defensive trio Sven Botman, Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol - who are currently on the books of Lille, Inter Milan and RB Leipzig respectively - have worked their way onto Conte's radar.

Spurs have also been named as an admirer of Liverpool ace Joe Gomez, but they could face competition from the likes of Leicester City, Newcastle United and West Ham United.

Southampton right-back Tino Livramento is understood to be a leading target for managing director Fabio Paratici and he is already making preliminary moves for the 19-year-old right-back.

Further up the pitch, Spurs are in the running to sign Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness.

Dybala's £222,000-per-week contract with the Serie A giants expires in the summer, meaning Tottenham could already tie the Argentinian down to a pre-contract agreement ahead of completing a free transfer in the summer.

What has Michael Bridge said about the situation?

Bridge reckons Conte, who was appointed as Spurs' head coach in November, has had his summer targets drawn up for a prolonged period of time.

The Sky Sports reporter hints the north Londoners may find it relatively easy to enter negotiations with their potential acquisitions thanks to no major tournaments taking place at the end of the season.

Bridge told GIVEMESPORT: "I've thought this for three months and I still think it - Conte knows who he wants and we'll see if he can get them in the summer.

"There's no Euros and there's no World Cup this summer, so players aren't going here, there and everywhere. They're at home or they're on holiday."

Was Conte happy with Spurs' January business?

It would appear not as Conte told Sky Sport Italia, via The Guardian, that Spurs' squad had been weakened due to only welcoming two fresh faces despite seeing a host of players depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Dejan Kulusevski became the first signing of the Italian's reign as he joined on an initial 18-month loan which offers the option to buy from Juventus.

The only other acquisition also came from the Turin-based club, with Rodrigo Bentancur heading to north London.

It is understood the double deal could end up setting Spurs back as much as £59million.
