'Who knows' - Wolves claim emerges amid developments this week

Wolves‘ squad could be about to get even stronger if they manage to qualify for Europe, believes transfer insider Dean Jones.

Bruno Lage already possesses some talented players, including the likes of Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez, and Jones thinks the Portuguese manager will have a good chance to add to that depending on how this campaign finishes.

How is Wolves’ season going?

After losing their first three games of the term without scoring, it looked like it was going to be a disappointing season for Wolves.

However, fast forward to now and it has been the opposite. Under Lage, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo last summer, the Midlands club are enjoying a very successful 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

They recently climbed to seventh in the table after back-to-back wins against Everton and Watford, meaning that they have a very good chance of qualifying for either the Europa League or Europa Conference League.

Eighth-placed Tottenham, though, have two games in hand on them, so Lage’s men will not be getting too excited just yet.

What has Jones said about Wolves?

Jones thinks Wolves have real potential and has hinted at significant additions being made if they can secure European football come May.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “If they qualify for Europe, then who knows how strong this squad could be by next summer because I think they’ve got real potential here.”

Who could Wolves sign?

One player who Wolves are thought to be looking at is Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa.

According to Birmingham Live, Villa’s rivals are keeping a close eye on Coutinho’s situation, although Steven Gerrard’s side are likely to be at the front of the queue for his signature given that a buy option was included in the loan deal that saw him move to Villa Park.

What shirt number does Adama Traore wear for Wolves?

The Brazilian has really impressed since returning to the Premier League, coming up with seven goal involvements in just nine appearances. It makes it no surprise that other clubs like Wolves are now looking at him.

As well as adding to their squad, Wolves will also be looking to retain the services of those already at the club.

Joao Moutinho and Romain Saiss are both out of contract at the end of the season but have been regulars under Lage, so it would be a shock if new deals were not offered before then.
