Rachael Blackmore made history at Cheltenham Festival last year, becoming the first ever female winner of the Ruby Walsh Trophy.

The Irish jockey won six races across the four-day festival, including the prestigious Champion Hurdle.

On board Henry de Bromhead’s Honeysuckle, Blackmore thundered across the finish line, leading the chase by six and a half lengths.

She went on to win the Grand National in Aintree, becoming the first ever female winner of the famous steeplechase.

Blackmore is now back in Cheltenham looking to retain the Ruby Walsh Trophy, and has a number of races lined up over the coming week.

The 32-year-old appears confident about her chances, telling Gloucestershire Live: “Honeysuckle has never let me down to this date so I can’t see why this year would be any different.”

GiveMeSport Women lists when Blackmore is in action today and tomorrow. This list will then be updated with her races on Thursday and Friday.
