Eddie Hall has said that opponent Hafthor Bjornsson looks 'ill' and 'skinny' ahead of their highly anticipated boxing clash.

Hall and Bjornsson face off this weekend in Dubai to settle their strongman rivalry in what has been dubbed as the 'Heaviest Fight in History'.

Bjornsson has faced concern from fans in the build-up after an incredible weight loss left him 60kg lighter.

The English fighter has echoed these concerns and claims he will have the advantage in their fight after opting to come in heavier.

Speaking to Muscle and Health, Hall said: "My goal has been to come into this fight as big, heavy and strong as possible.

"I have never, ever heard a boxer say, 'I wish I was weaker for the fight', or 'I wish I was lighter for that fight'.

"I’ve never gassed-out and I’ve never been knocked out. So, at the end of the day, I’m pushing big, heavyweight boxers on to the back foot because of my size, because of my presence. Coming in heavy is a good strategy for me.

"Thor, for whatever reason, looks like a skinny dog on heat. For me, it's stupid. It's supposed to be the heaviest boxing match in history, and he just looks ill.

"I see comments all over the place from people asking if he is sick.

"I think he genuinely has a problem with cardio. I don't think he can sustain the full six rounds. I believe that's why he has lost so much weight, because his fitness levels are so terrible."

Hafthor Bjornsson showed off his physique on Instagram just days out from the Eddie Hall fight

Hall himself has been struggling in the build-up to the fight after being forced to withdraw from their previous September date after suffering a detached bicep.

Since then, he has also admitted that in the final stages of preparation, he was suffering with a chest infection.

The British star is ensuring that he enters the fight with more power by maintaining his heavyweight that he put on over the Christmas period.

He wrote on Instagram: "Almost time for that big crybaby to pay!"

This fight promises to be an entertaining spectacle, for the Englishman, it is his first ever Boxing match, but Bjornsson has had some amateur bouts in the past.
