In case you weren’t aware, Pedri Gonzalez is a world-class footballer.
At the age of just 19, the midfield maestro is already a key man for both Barcelona and Spain, which is some achievement.
Pedri just makes the game look so easy and against Galatasaray on Thursday evening, the teenage star scored a quite sensational goal.
Barcelona fell 1-0 behind to the Turkish side in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie, defender Marcao scoring from a set-piece in the 28th-minute.
But less than 10 minutes later, Pedri equalised and he showed incredible composure to level the scores at 1-1.
The winner of the 2021 Golden Boy award collected the ball inside the box from Ferran Torres’ smart pass, sat down two Galatasaray players with a couple of dummies and then calmly finished off the chance with a low shot into the bottom corner.
Take a look at the magnificent goal, as well as Xavi Hernandez’s brilliant reaction to it from the sidelines, here…

That goal really is a work of art. Players were tumbling to the floor left, right and centre while Pedri kept his cool and silenced the lively home crowd in Istanbul.
The kid is a Ballon d’Or winner in the making and the heir to Andres Iniesta’s throne – which really is praise of the highest order.
Barcelona took the game against Galatasaray by the scruff of the neck in the second half and went 2-1 ahead just four minutes after the restart.
January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the man who got the goal, the former Arsenal man heading home from Frenkie de Jong’s clever ball into the six-yard box.
Xavi’s side controlled proceedings after Aubameyang’s close-range strike and they could have scored more.
But the La Liga outfit had to settle for a 2-1 away win which has put them in the hat for Friday’s quarter-final draw and they’re a team that the rest of those left in the competition will be keen to avoid.
