Yesterday the NFL watched as one of the biggest names in the league allowed his frustrations to overtake him on the sidelines.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham is a global face for the NFL but yesterday fans saw him lose his temper on the sidelines at MetLife Stadium.

A bad day for Beckham

Beckham still came away with a plethora of receiving yards yesterday but he saw his Giants side lose at home to divisional rival the Washington Redskins.

Slipping to 2-1 on the season, the Giants saw their first defeat come after a very late interception handed victory to Washington.

Beckham had been very volatile on the sidelines all day and while the internet found him getting into an altercation with a kicking net funny, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is not laughing.

During a conference call on Monday, McAdoo addressed Beckham's actions and he was quite critical of his star receiver.

"he needs to control his emotions better and be less of a distraction to himself and his teammates. It's our job to help him with that process." - McAdoo on Beckham

McAdoo was critical of Beckham's temper tantrums on the sidelines, but maintained that he conducted himself well when on the field.

Either way, Beckham was seen being comforted by quarterback Eli Manning at one point, but his temper was seemingly out of control.

One of the contributing factors in Beckham's sideline antics on Sunday had to be the presence of long time rival cornerback Josh Norman.

The two were tussling all game and it got very interesting to watch them both, but Norman was surely a reason for Beckham's breakdown.
