The UFC community is in awe of Paddy Pimblett’s transformation ahead of his second appearance with the company. The Scouse martial artist is set to take on Rodrigo Vargas at UFC London tonight, which will see him fight on the same card as fellow Brits Tom Aspinall, Arnold Allen, Jai Herbert and Molly McCann. But Pimblett will be almost unrecognisable when compared to the round-faced UFC newbie who knocked out Luigi Vendramini back in September last year.Since his ferocious first win in the championship, Pimblett has only become more intimidating thanks to his new build. In a post to Twitter, a side-by-side picture of Pimblett shows off his impressive cuts – not only has he ditched his bowl hairstyle, but he appears far more athletic and defined.Pimblett also displayed his new build at the UFC London weigh-ins yesterday, and while his notorious haircut appears to be making a return, his incredible frame resembling that of a fierce fighter seems to be here to stay.He weighed in at 155 pounds ahead of this weekend’s bout, having weighed 195 at his heaviest since last appearing in the Octagon.

His 40-pound loss is impressive no doubt, but the star is aware that such a transformation in a short period of time takes a toll on the body - a toll that he would much prefer to avoid in future.

He told the Daily Star: "I'm going to have to try and avoid it this time.

"I think I was nearly 195lb, I was nearly 200lbs, but that's what happens when you go out and eat three main meals and two desserts every single night.

"I might be fat, but I'll never get lazy because of this. Everyone who believes in me drive me on every day. 2022 is going to be a big year for the baddy!"

This transformation is not the only thing keeping Pimblett in the news ahead of his big fight.

Earlier this week, he was caught up in an altercation with fellow lightweight Ilia Topuria. The situation began after the Scouser sent some distasteful messages to the 15th ranked lightweight.

Later, they crossed paths in the hotel, resulting in the Georgian throwing a cup and receiving back a bottle of hand sanitiser before the two briefly came to blows.

Topuria will face Jai Herbert in the first fight on the main card at UFC London. Perhaps we could see both Pimblett and himself mutually call each other out if they can secure victories tonight?
