Tottenham Hotspur kept themselves firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification on Sunday afternoon.

Antonio Conte's side followed up their 2-0 win away at Brighton in midweek with a 3-1 victory over London rivals West Ham United.

A brace from Heung-min Son and an own goal from Kurt Zouma was enough to hand Spurs a potentially season-changing three points.

The north London outfit were simply too good on the day and West Ham looked absolutely knackered after their memorable Europa League match against Sevilla on Thursday.

Both of Son's goals - which Harry Kane assisted - were very tidy finishes, although the South Korean star didn't exactly cover himself in glory at one point in the match.

The Spurs forward was guilty of some of the worst play-acting we've seen in quite some time after Zouma kicked the ball at his leg.

It wasn't like the French defender booted it hard, though. It was the tamest of strikes that connected with Son, but he still fell to the turf in an attempt to get the West Ham man punished by the referee.

Take a look at the embarrassing incident here...

Why does a world-class footballer have to resort to something like that?! It's just so infuriating to watch.

The fact Sergio Reguilon stormed over to Zouma as if he'd nearly taken Son's leg off with the most powerful of shots was laughable as well.

We can only hope that the former Bayer Leverkusen man gets a stern talking to from Conte and his teammates in the coming days, because that kind of behaviour is simply not acceptable.

Spurs have now closed the gap to Arsenal in fourth place to just three points ahead of the March international break, although the Lilywhites have played a game more.

The battle to finish in the top four and secure a place in next season's Champions League looks like it's going to go right down to the wire.

West Ham are unlikely to achieve the feat now, so it's a triple threat match between Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United for glory.
