Iga Świątek will have just 24 hours to bask in the glory of winning Indian Wells before attention turns to the next WTA 1000 event – the Miami Open.

With 1000 ranking points and $1,231,245 (£937,451) on offer for the winner, the Miami Open is one of the most prestigious events on the WTA Tour. Played on outdoor hard courts, it features 96 players in the singles tournament.

When is the Miami Open?

Qualifying for the Miami Open begins today, with the main draw set to start tomorrow (March 22nd).

The round of 16 will be played on March 28th, with quarter-finals split across March 29th and 30th. The semifinals will be played on March 31 and the final on Saturday, April 2nd.

Day sessions will begin at 15:00 GMT, followed by night sessions from 23:00 GMT. These times will be an hour later from March 27th, when clocks go forward in the UK.

Where is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium in Miami in Florida.

Thirty courts are created for the tournament, which includes a stadium court, ten tournament courts and a number of practice courts.

Who is playing at the Miami Open?

The only top 20 players absent from the draw are world number one and defending champion Ashleigh Barty, Barbora Krejčíková and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek will be competing, fresh from her victory at Indian Wells and rise up to world number two, but it is Aryna Sabalenka who takes the top seed spot.

Indian Wells finalist Maria Sakkari is among the 16 seeds, as is US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins.

Wildcards have been awarded to Sofia Kenin, Astra Sharma, Hailey Baptiste, Linda Fruhvirtova, Alexandra Eala, Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery.

The draw has thrown up the possibility of a number of exciting round of 16 fixtures, including Aryna Sabalenka against Elina Svitolina, Emma Raducanu against Karolína Plíšková, and Coco Gauff against Iga Świątek.

Who will Emma Raducanu be playing at the Miami Open?

As 11th seed, Raducanu will receive a bye into the second round. She will play either Kateřina Siniaková of the Czech Republic or a qualifier.

She could then face idol and former world number one Simona Halep in the round of 32.

Sixth seed Karolína Plíšková could meet Raducanu or Halep in the fourth round, should she make it that far.
