At 55, Mike Tyson has recently claimed that it would take a payday of $1 billion to fight Jake Paul in the boxing ring.

After retiring from the sport in 2005, Tyson has explained that he is interested in fighting the famous YouTuber, but it would take some SERIOUS cash to get him back inside the ropes.

With a professional record of 50-6, Tyson returned to the ring in 2020 to fight Roy Jones Jr. In an eye-opening exhibition bout, the pair would fight to a draw following eight rounds of action.

On the undercard of the main event between Tyson and Jones Jr, Jake Paul would knock out Nate Robinson to go 2-0 as a professional boxer.

From then on in, Tyson has expressed his desire to potentially step foot inside the boxing ring again. He was rumoured to fight Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield. However, when those fights never materialised, Tyson said in January that he may never fight again.

Now 5-0, Jake Paul continues to grab the headlines as he looks to climb up the rankings and to compete regularly inside the ring.

Speaking on his podcast about a possible showdown with Paul, Tyson said: "Hey, I ain't got no f****** money. So where's the f****** contract.

"I ain't know nothing about it. Listen, I've been smoking with him forever, I did some shrooms with him as well. But I've never heard this.

"I was with him in St Barts not too long ago partying and he never told me this. I've never heard this from nobody, I've just heard this from you guys.

"We got to get some more man s***, blue-eyed, blonde hair, that s*** is very expensive, we need to get some more money, man."

When asked how much it would take for Iron Mike to face Paul, Tyson said: “A billion bucks.”

Despite being professionally retired for over 17 years, Tyson is now flirting with the idea of making yet another comeback.
