Before doing battle in Dubai with Hafthor Bjornsson last weekend, Eddie Hall took on top cruiserweight prospect Viddal Riley in a sparring session.

Footage of the session, which took place back in November, has since emerged on Riley's YouTube channel following the British strongman's loss to his rival Bjornsson.

Having just recovered from bicep surgery at the time, Hall called on Riley to help improve his boxing acumen.

The 24-year-old from Hackney has previous experience preparing celebrities for fights having trained YouTubers KSI and AnEsonGib.

The video starts in the second round and shows the 2017 World's Strongest Man trying to handle the agile and undefeated cruiserweight.

As Hall isn't wearing any headgear, Riley doesn't throw his punches with the usual venom one might expect.

For five rounds, Riley bounced around the ring, using his vast boxing experience to avoid punches from the monstrous Hall.

When the retired strongman did land a shot on the boxer, it was certainly backed up with a lot of power.

"It feels like some of the shots that I block it's like 'whoosh'!" Riley noted after the final round. "You can feel the force on your hands, you can feel it."

Hall was blown away by Riley's speed and ability to block any punch thrown at him.

"I've never been in the ring with someone who's been that fast," he said towards the end of the video, which has been seen over 200,000 times in less than 24 hours.

"Your hand is down and you just catch [a punch], I thought I had you a few times but then you blocked me again."

Hall rounded off the video by thanking Viddal: "I want to thank Viddal so much for coming up with his busy schedule in the lead-up to a fight.

"Three weeks out from a fight and he's come and sparred the world's heaviest man so he's got big balls."
