Liverpool fans were rather happy with their Champions League quarter-final draw.

The Reds were paired with Benfica, which means they avoided the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

On paper, it should be a relatively easy two legs for Jurgen Klopp's side, although it would be foolish to rule out Benfica entirely.

The Portuguese side are in the quarter-finals on merit having eliminated Barcelona in the group stage and high-flying Ajax in the last-16.

Manager Nélson Veríssimo also has some very talented players at his disposal, including winger Rafa Silva.

The 28-year-old is enjoying a brilliant 2021/22 at club level. In 26 league appearances, he's scored eight goals and assisted a further 16.

Rafa's latest goal came last Sunday in Benfica's 2-1 win at home against Estoril and the 34th-minute strike from him was scarily good.

The fleet-footed winger intercepted a pass right by his own penalty area and then proceeded to charge up field with the ball under his spell.

Rafa then showed speed befitting of prime Usain Bolt to leave two Estoril players trailing in his wake, before beating another with some skill and finishing from a tight angle inside the box.

As solo goals go, it's right up there with the best scored in recent years...

Stop that, Rafa! The Portuguese flyer might just be the fastest footballer on the planet right now and Liverpool defenders will certainly not be looking forward to coming up against him.

It's perhaps no wonder that the Benfica man possesses such a ridiculously high pace rating on FIFA 22 and he might even be due an upgrade from EA Sports in that department after his goal against Estoril.

Rafa's FIFA 22 card

If Rafa does indeed start when Benfica come face-to-face with Liverpool after the international break, either Trent Alexander-Arnold or Andy Robertson are going to have to keep a watchful eye on him.

Because if they get caught out of position, the winger could wreak havoc, especially given the fact that the Reds play with such a high defensive line.
