Hafthor Bjornsson has tipped Martyn Ford to get the better of 'The Iranian Hulk', but the former strongman still plans to 'smash' his rival.

Nicknamed 'The Mountain', the Game of Thrones star, 33, fought and beat bitter rival Eddie Hall, 34, by unanimous decision in Dubai on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, 'The World's Scariest Man' will face Iranian bodybuilder Sajjad Gharibi - aka The Iranian Hulk - on April 30 at the O2 Arena in London.

Ford, who is a close friend of the Hall family, was in attendance at the Dubai Duty Free Stadium in the United Arab Emirates where he watched Thor drop Hall twice during their fight.

However, Ford said before Bjornsson's fight that he fancies his chances of beating 'The Mountain' if the pair were to meet in a boxing ring as he thinks the giant Icelander is 'too soft' to compete in the sport.

Ford, 39, told iFL TV: “Thor has been very edgy the last two days.

"Like I said before this fight, I was like, I think Thor is too soft.

"I think he has just not got that ‘[fighting spirit].’”

When he was made aware of Ford's comments, Bjornsson said to Boxing King Media: "I disagree, I think I'll smash him."

Asked who he thinks will win out of Ford versus Hulk, he replied: "I think Martyn Ford's going to win that fight.

"The other guy doesn't look in shape at all.

"I don't know the other guy though but I've seen on pictures he looks big and doesn't look like he has the endurance to go even one round in my opinion.

"But I don't know, we'll see. But Martyn Ford, I've seen some bits of him, and he looks okay."

Bjornsson also revealed that he plans to carry on boxing after winning his long-awaited grudge match against Hall.

He continued: "Yeah, 100 per cent.

"Before the fight I knew his gameplan, his right hooks. I was impressed with his jab actually, his jab was strong.

"But after the first round I figured out his style, figured out my distance, and won the fight from there.

"I mean I made some huge progress, I'm really enjoying the boxing journey, I'm 100 per cent willing to look into other opportunities in boxing. We'll see.

"I really enjoyed this, this was a hell of a fight from both parties. He fought well, I fought well, great job."
