Wolverhampton Wanderers will find it ‘impossible to stop’ players from ‘pondering what the future holds for them’, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Midlands outfit have seen stars such as Diogo Jota and Adama Traore depart for the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona, respectively, in recent times, with other key figures also linked to some European giants.

What is the latest news involving Wolves?

Jota swapped Molineux for Anfield in September 2020 after three successful years with Wolves and has elevated his game to new heights ever since.

In just 69 appearances for Liverpool, the Portugal international has registered 32 goals and four assists and could win an unprecedented four trophies this season.

Meanwhile, Traore returned to his boyhood club Barca on a six-month loan deal during the January transfer window and has showcased his true potential under the tutelage of new manager Xavi.

A healthy tally of four assists in his 10 appearances for the Blaugrana has revitalised the pacey winger's stuttering career, potentially opening his former teammates’ eyes to moves away from Wolves of their own.

Star midfielder Ruben Neves has reportedly attracted the attention of Premier League heavyweights Manchester United and Arsenal.

And the ever-improving Max Kilman is believed to have caught the eye of Chelsea as they face the prospect of losing several centre-backs on free transfers in a few months’ time.

What has Jones said about Wolves?

Jones believes the success that Jota and Traore have had since seeking pastures new, could turn the heads of the current crop of talent at Wolves.

He told GiveMeSport: “You look at Diogo Jota, he left for Liverpool and is now challenging to win the Premier League, challenging to win the Champions League, in the latter stages of the FA Cup; he could win it all.

“Equally, they might be looking at Adama Traore, who has just played his part in a famous El Clasico win for Barcelona. So, it's impossible to stop these players from pondering what the future holds for them.”

Who is likely to leave Wolves?

Kilman only signed a new contract until 2026 in November, so manager Bruno Lage will surely be quietly confident of retaining his services for the foreseeable future.

However, the Portuguese tactician may not feel as assured over the future of his compatriot Neves.

The engine room operator has previously expressed his desire to play in the Champions League again, meaning he could be the next big-name star to depart Wolves.
