YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has hit out at Jorge Masvidal after he allegedly ambushed Colby Covington last night.

Back at UFC 272, the feud between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington seemingly came to an end after their main event collision. Masvidal got a few good shots in but ultimately, Covington’s wrestling overwhelmed ‘Gamebred’ and helped ‘Chaos’ secure a unanimous decision victory.

Masvidal made it crystal clear after the fact that he still wants to go after his former best friend and on Monday, he proved that he wasn’t bluffing.

Covington was at a steakhouse in Miami and while there isn’t footage of the altercation itself, reports are indicating that Masvidal was the one who tried to initiate a brawl with the former interim welterweight champion.

Jake Paul, who has had his disagreements with Masvidal in the past, took a shot at the BMF champ on social media earlier today.

“2 facts of the day: #1 Masvidal is a bitch for ambushing Colby. Couldn’t hurt him in the cage so try to blindside him? #2 UFC always says it’s increased fighter pay 600% since 2005. Per Huddle Up, UFC revenue is up 1,700% since 05 and PROFITS up by 6,200%. 10x fighter pay!!!”

You may not like him, but Jake Paul certainly knows how to get folks riled up.

Could Masvidal box Paul?

‘The Problem Child’ has called out Jorge for a fight before but with the Florida native signing a new contract with the UFC prior to UFC 272, it may be a while before we get to see that go down.

Paul is focusing his attention on promoting Amanda Serrano for her upcoming showdown with Katie Taylor but after that, he’ll likely be back in the ring within a few months.

Tommy Fury is a potential foe but his niche of taking on MMA fighters has been working quite well in his last few outings.

Masvidal, in his prime, was one of the finest boxers of his generation in mixed martial arts - but the size difference alone could be incredibly detrimental.

For now, this war is likely to remain confined to Twitter, Instagram and interviews.
