Football is currently blessed with some seriously talented youngsters.

Across the globe, players who aren't even old enough to buy a beer in the United States of America yet are smashing it at the very highest level.

But who is the best of the current crop of magnificent teenage footballers? Well, the folks over at Goal have provided their answer to that very question.

The publication have ranked the best players in the world currently who were born on January 1st, 2003, or later and the quality on show is borderline ridiculous.

Below, we've gone through their top 20 and it's very hard to argue with any of the calls made by Goal either...

20. Romeo Lavia (Manchester City)

The Belgian defensive midfielder is tipped to be Rodri's successor in the future. Lavia made his debut for City's first-team back in September.

19. Kacper Kozlowski (Union SG, on loan from Brighton)

The 18-year-old midfield maestro has already played six games for Poland's senior team and looks a star in the making. That's why Brighton spent £8 million in January to acquire his services.

18. Ilias Akhomach (Barcelona)

Another product of Barcelona's youth system. Akhomach, a lightning-quick winger, was given his debut by Xavi back in November and certainly has the makings of a future first-team regular in Catalonia.

17. Ilaix Moriba (Valencia, on loan from RB Leipzig)

Moriba swapped Barcelona for RB Leipzig last summer, but found the going tough in the Bundesliga. The all-action midfielder, who's played five times for Guinea, is now back in Spain on loan at Valencia, where he's slowly reminding the world of his talent.

16. Mohamed-Ali Cho (Angers)

The ex-England U16 international has earned a lot of admirers for his performances in Ligue 1, although he needs to start scoring more. Cho, a centre-forward by trade, has only found the back of the net just twice in 24 outings this season.

15. Luca Netz (Borussia Monchengladbach)

The teenage left-back has really taken his opportunities in 2021/22. He's now a regular starter in the Bundesliga and has contributed four assists in 19 league appearances. Not bad, Luka.

14. Marcos Leonardo (Santos)

Will Leonardo follow in Neymar's footsteps? It's far too early to say, but the signs are promising. He's already Santos' main striker and has scored four goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this year.

13. Yusuf Demir (Rapid Vienna)

Demir's season-long loan at Barcelona may have been cut short, however, there's no denying he's a huge prospect. The young winger just needs to find the right club in Europe's top five leagues, that's all.

12. Matias Soule (Juventus)

The talented wide forward has been electric for Juventus' youth sides and was rewarded with a first-team debut back in December. There's real hope that Soule will be the next great footballer to emerge from Argentina.

11. No player...

Arsen Zakharyan of Dinamo Moscow would have been 11th, but due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Goal have opted to leave 11th spot on their list vacant - a decision that has our full support.

10. Ricardo Pepi (Augsburg)

At the age of just 19, Pepi is already a key man for USMNT, scoring three goals and contributing three assists in his first nine matches. That's why Augsburg coughed up a club-record fee of €17.5 million to sign the striker in January, although he's yet to get off the mark in the Bundesliga.

9. Benjamin Sesko (Red Bull Salzburg)

Yet another talented youngster who's doing bits at Salzburg. The Slovenian forward has eight goals and seven assists across all competitions in 2021/22 and the sky really is the limit for the 18-year-old sensation - who's aptly nicknamed 'Mini-Haaland'.

8. Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund)

The Bundesliga's youngest ever player and goalscorer hasn't been afforded the game time he would have liked at Dortmund since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old. But there's no doubting his quality and if Erling Haaland leaves the club in the summer, Moukoko has everything needed to be the team's main man up top.

7. Devyne Rensch (Ajax)

Ajax's knack for producing talent is uncanny and Rensch looks like the next off the conveyor belt. The Dutchman has enjoyed a breakthrough season under Erik ten Hag in 2021/22 and it's expected he'll move from a right-back to a ball-playing centre-back later on his career.

6. Rayan Cherki (Lyon)

Despite being just 18, Cherki has been a part of Lyon's first-team setup for a couple of seasons now and is the youngest ever player to feature in a Champions League knockout match. It'll be something of a surprise if a top European club don't sign him up in the near future.

5. Harvey Elliott (Liverpool)

Elliott suffered a serious ankle injury at the start of 2021/22, but has still enjoyed a brilliant campaign. Jurgen Klopp even started him at San Siro against Inter Milan shortly after his return to fitness - that's how highly he rates the former Fulham man. Who knows, the Premier League's youngest ever player may even make England's 2022 World Cup squad.

4. Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich)

When you're a key part of the Bayern Munich setup at age 19, you know you're pretty special. Musiala, a former Chelsea youth player, has six goals and six assists to his name at club level this season and has already played nine times for the German national team.

3. Gavi (Barcelona)

Gavi is proof that La Masia is alive and kicking. The 17-year-old's performances for Barcelona in 2021/22 have shown a maturity way beyond his years and we shouldn't forget that Luis Enrique started him in both of Spain's UEFA Nations League finals matches back in October. Gavi was electric in those games against Italy and France as well, which makes it hard not to think that we've finally found Andres Iniesta's heir.

2. Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)

In terms of numbers, Wirtz is virtually unmatched among teenagers operating in European football this season. The fleet-footed attacker has 10 goals and 14 assists to his name from 34 games, an astonishing return for an 18-year-old. Wirtz recently suffered a serious knee injury, which we really hope doesn't knock him off the path to superstardom at both club and international level.

1. Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund)

A deserving winner. What Bellingham is doing at the heart of Dortmund's midifled is not normal for someone who is just 18 years of age. He already looks like a seasoned veteran and his attacking output has seriously improved as well. In 37 games across all competitions in 2021/22, the England international has scored six goals and assisted 13 more. We will be absolutely stunned if Bellingham is not one of the first names on Gareth Southgate's team sheet at the 2022 World Cup.
