The 2021/22 season has been one to forget for Manchester United thus far.

After signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane last summer, many thought the Red Devils would challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.

That certainly hasn't materialised, though. As we head into the March international break, United look likely to miss out on finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Ralf Rangnick's side are currently four points behind fourth-place Arsenal and the Gunners have a game in hand.

So United may very well end the 2021/22 season both trophyless and without Champions League football for 2022/23 - which just simply isn't good enough.

Despite the negativity surrounding the club, Manchester Evening News still decided to ask supporters to rate the players out of 10 and not a single one of them got above 8/10.

United's captain has been rated a measly 2.8/10, which is rather damning.

Maguire has been woeful in 2021/22 after starring for England at Euro 2020 and it's surely only a matter of time before Rangnick demotes him from the starting XI.

At the top of the list, it's slightly surprising that Ronaldo's rating is so low. Because without his goals, United would have almost certainly have exited the Champions League at the group stage.

He's also scored 12 goals in the Premier League, a total bettered by only Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Heung-min Son.

Yet the five-time Ballon d'Or winner hasn't even been a 7/10 in the eyes of United fans and that seems a tad harsh to us.
