Kylian Mbappe's confession to Paul Pogba about PSG situation

It’s been a very tough couple of weeks for those associated with Paris Saint-Germain.

On March 9th, the French club were eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid in rather dramatic fashion.

PSG led 1-0 at the Bernabeu through Kylian Mbappe‘s goal, but then collapsed during the second half to lose the game 3-1 and the tie 3-2, Karim Benzema scoring a marvellous hat-trick for Los Blancos.

A few days after the humbling in the Spanish capital, PSG fans turned on the players in their 3-0 win over Bordeaux in Ligue 1.

Lionel Messi and Neymar were two of the men who were booed throughout the entirety of that match.

Then just to make things worse, PSG were beaten 3-0 away at AS Monaco last Sunday to put even more pressure on the shoulders of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

So, yeah, it’s been an awful two weeks or so for one of the world’s richest clubs.

The situation may get even worse in the summer as well, because Kylian Mbappe looks set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

And that outcome now looks more likely than ever following the superstar striker’s confession to Paul Pogba after joining up with France for international duty.

The Manchester United midfielder asked his countryman how it was going at PSG, to which Mbappe replied: “I’m very fed up.”

That doesn’t sound great for PSG, does it?

Of course, Mbappe has every right to feel fed up. He’s done all he can this season for the team, but has sadly been let down by his colleagues at key moments.

In 37 games across all competitions, the 23-year-old has scored 26 goals and assisted a further 17, a quite amazing return.

He’s contributed to more goals in 2021/22 than Messi and Neymar combined, which tells you everything really.

If Mbappe is still a PSG player next season, it’ll be an enormous surprise.
