Tottenham are currently in the best shape they've been since Antonio Conte arrived, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Conte's side finally ended their frustrating recent win-loss-win-loss run by beating West Ham on Sunday to stay in touch with Arsenal in the chase for the top four.

What happened against West Ham?

With the Gunners beating Aston Villa on Saturday, Spurs knew that the visit of their London rivals was a must-win game if they are serious about playing Champions League football next season.

But Tottenham showed little sign of nerves as they took full advantage of a Hammers side that had played extra-time in an exhausting Europa League last 16 tie with Sevilla less than 72 hours earlier.

Conte's men flew out of the blocks and raced into a 2-0 lead inside the first 24 minutes opening as Harry Kane crossed for Kurt Zouma to turn into his own net, before the England captain's exquisite pass allowed Heung Min Son to fire into the far corner, once more via the aid of Zouma's foot.

Said Benrahma did reply for West Ham just before the break, and while Tottenham dominated the majority of the second period, they didn't put the result beyond doubt until two minutes from time when Kane flicked on for Son to hammer home.

As a result, Conte's men secured consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since December and have now scored the most goals in the top-flight since the beginning of February (21).

With three clean sheets during that period, too, Bridge believes that Tottenham are finally heading in the right direction under the Italian.

What did Bridge say about Tottenham?

Asked whether this is the best shape they've been in under Conte, he told GIVEMESPORT: "Definitely. He's kept the same team three games in a row. I think that says it all, although there's not a lot of options off the bench, but I think it's just a really settled side."

Can Tottenham qualify for the Champions League?

With Arsenal sitting three points clear with a game in hand, Mikel Arteta's side are firm favourites to return to Europe's elite competition.

However, with a north London derby to come, plus a favourable fixture list, Spurs are still well in the running and should fancy their chances of pipping their rivals, providing they win the game between the two at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But with that fixture not even scheduled yet, Spurs' focus should be on getting maximum points from games against Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford, and Leicester in the coming weeks and hope Arsenal slip up in the meantime.
