Everton are 'almost certain' to see one of their big-name stars leave Goodison Park during the summer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Toffees are sitting precariously above the Premier League's relegation zone, with three points being all that separates them from the bottom three.

Who could leave Everton in the summer?

According to Goal, Manchester United have set their sights on signing Richarlison as the Red Devils look to bolster their attacking options.

But Everton's Premier League rivals are not the only side tracking the 32-cap Brazil international as the report suggests a switch to La Liga could be on the cards, with Real Madrid and Barcelona also understood to hold an interest.

Heading to the Santiago Bernabeu would result in Richarlison reuniting with former Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti, who selected the frontman 59 times during his Goodison Park reign.

The Express have revealed Arsenal could look to make a cut-price move for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was linked with a £60million switch to West Ham United in January, if Everton fail to avoid relegation to Championship.

The report claims the Merseyside giants currently value the frontman at upwards of £70million.

What has Dean Jones said about the situation?

Jones believes Everton will be forced into allowing at least one of their most coveted stars to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season.

The transfer insider feels the likes of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin will be the subject of interest when the window reopens.

He reckons clubs will look to pounce following the Toffees' struggles this term.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "I think it's almost certain that at least one big-name player will leave Everton at the end of the season."

Why could Everton be forced into selling one of their prised assets?

While Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin's contracts are not due to expire until the summer of 2024 and 2025 respectively, that does not necessarily mean Everton will be in the driving seat when it comes to transfer negotiations.

That is because the sanctioning of oligarch Alisher Usmanov, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, has reportedly left the Toffees with a black hole of up to £300million in their playing budget.

With Richarlison being on a deal worth £110,000-per-week, he is one of the club's top earners and getting him off the books could help to ease Everton's financial worries.

Calvert-Lewin is also on a lucrative contract, with the striker pocketing £72,000 every seven days, so Toffees manager Frank Lampard may be forced to contend with one of his key men leaving at the end of the season.
