South American international football is back as Brazil take on Chile in a CONMEBOL World Cup Qualification match.

Brazil will be looking to extend their mightily impressive run of 33 games unbeaten run in World Cup qualifying as they host Chile this Thursday. Chile on the other hand will be trying to rain on the Brazilian parade and cause an upset at the Maracana.

Brazil have already qualified for the World Cup, whereas Chile find themselves three points outside the four automatic qualification places - so this could be a huge game for them.

Leeds United star Raphinha won't be available for Brazil's selection, he pulled out due to testing positive for Covid-19. Arsenal star Gabriel also won't feature as his girlfriend is expecting a child this month. He's been replaced by Athletico Madrid's Felipe.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is also out with illness, meaning Alisson will likely start.

Neymar also looks set to return after missing three Brazil games on the bounce.

As for Chile - Ben Brereton Diaz has been sidelined for some time now, but he's back in the squad and will be assessed before the game on Thursday.

Star players Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez are both available.
