Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has raised concerns over Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon's attacking contributions.

The Spain international has come back into the side in recent games following Ryan Sessegnon's injury, but he struggled in the victory over West Ham last weekend.

What has Reguilon's attacking output been like this season?

Considering that many of Reguilon's outings this term came under Nuno Espirito Santo and therefore at left-back, his goal contribution return is useful.

In 23 Premier League appearances, the 25-year-old has scored twice and chipped in with three assists.

To put that into context, only Dejan Kulusevski (6), Lucas Moura (6), Harry Kane (17) and Heung Min Son (18) have been directly involved in more league goals in the entire squad.

However, had Reguilon not been so wasteful in the final third, he could be pushing towards double figures.

Against Brighton, Reguilon had been put in the clear on two occasions by Harry Kane, with the England captain repeating the feat against West Ham with two more measured passes.

But on each occasion, Reguilon lacked conviction and confidence and was unable to get the better of the goalkeeper. Fortunately for Tottenham, his misses didn't prove costly, but his lack of quality in front of goal of late only highlighted exactly why he averages a goal every 25 games in his senior career.

What did Bridge say about Reguilon?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "From a fan's perspective, I'm never confident when he's got the ball in the attacking areas."

Could Reguilon leave Tottenham this summer?

While Bridge has been left frustrated with Reguilon's attacking contributions, it's not just the fans who are losing patience with the left wing-back.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham are open to offers for the former Real Madrid defender this summer, with Conte reportedly not totally convinced by him.

And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that a host of European clubs, including Barcelona, are interested in signing Reguilon at the end of the campaign.

Furthermore, Real Madrid still have the option to activate the £27.5m buy-back clause they included in Reguilon's deal to Spurs back in September 2020.

Reguilon's next destination is unclear at this early stage, but this being his last season in North London is far from ruled out.
