Olympic Gold Medallist Gable Steveson has confirmed when he’s likely to debut his in-ring talent on Monday Night Raw

The 21-year-old officially bowed out of amateur wrestling this week, by leaving his boots on the mat after winning his second consecutive NCAA Division I wrestling title, and is now headed to WWE.

Steveson signed with WWE in September 2021, as the first athlete to sign a NIL contract with the company. One month later he was assigned to Monday Night Raw as part of the WWE draft, but he is yet to make his in-ring debut.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Steveson confirmed that his WWE career is set to begin after WrestleMania and could debut as earlier as sometime next month.

It'll start the day WrestleMania hits or after that. My exact start date is in the middle of April so they’re letting me finish school, they’re letting me do my thing, and then Monday Night Raws will either come really soon or shortly after that. I’m planning on being on TV and getting in the ring really really soon, after WrestleMania.

The Indiana-native also said he’ll be in attendance at WrestleMania but wouldn’t reveal if that would be just part of the crowd in Dallas, or actually playing a part in the event itself and possibly setting up something for his Raw debut.

Expectations are high on Steveson with many reports suggesting he’ll get the same type of push that was given to both Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle upon their debuts. Both of which share similar attributes and have came from the same background at the Olympian. With some suggestions that he’s already seen as a future WrestleMania main eventer.
