Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal are arguably UFC’s biggest names in the sport.

With a total of 57 MMA fight wins between them, they have gained the support of many fans across the globe.

However, sometimes the success of someone can come at a price, and this is certainly the case with McGregor and Masvidal.

The pair have both been involved in numerous controversies throughout their careers

McGregor in particular has faced many charges, and is currently under investigation for sexual assault, with a 10-week discovery underway.

On top of that, he has faced multiple charges of assault, including attempting to attack recording artist Machine Gun Kelly at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

But in the past few days, McGregor and Masvidal have been in the public eye again for all the wrong reasons.

On March 22, the pair were arrested and charged for separate incidents.

Masvidal was alleged to have assaulted UFC rival Colby Covington, whom Masvidal had recently been defeated by at UFC 272.

He was arrested a day later and charged with aggravated battery and is currently being detained at Turner Guilford Knight Correctinal Center.

As for McGregor, he was arrested and charged with several driving offences and has had his car detained by Irish police.

He is now due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court in April, and could face a potential €5,000 fine, or six months imprisonment, or both.

Fellow UFC legend Nate Diaz has since weighed in on the matter, putting out a tweet, which can be seen above, encouraging his fellow UFC fighters to “stop getting arrested for stupid s***.”

Whatever the outcome is for McGregor and Masvidal, one thing that is for sure is UFC stars are once again being portrayed in a bad manner.
