Richard Riakporhe sent out a message to the entire cruiserweight division with a thunderous eighth-round knockout of Deion Jumah.

The Walworth warrior landed a huge right hand to his British rival's body which left him crawling across the canvas on all fours gasping for air.

Jumah was clearly in no fit state to continue and could not beat the ten count as the referee waved it off.

Riakporhe kept his unbeaten record intact, moving to 14-0, and was seen celebrating with trainer Angel Fernandez and promoter Ben Shalom.

The 32-year-old is now in the hunt for world titles after a stunning win in front of a lively OVO Arena crowd, which went wild.

He was originally due to fight Italy's Fabio Turchi but the opponent was changed in the week leading up to the bout.

Jumah, also 32, was drafted in as a last-minute replacement having fought exactly a month ago against Willbeforce Shihepo.

The Hammersmith southpaw had some success in the early stages of the fight as Riakporhe struggled to find his range.

After being dropped badly in the fourth, Jumah fought back valiantly as he ended the fifth on the front foot.

But the Aylesbury slugger threw a huge right hand in the eighth which hit Jumah right in the solar plexus and he could not get up.

After the fight, Riakporhe told Sky Sports: "I'm so happy we got the win.

"Big respect to Deion Jumah, he was giving me a lot of problems in there and I had to be patient.

"I was mentally prepared for him to be awkward and slippery, but I just needed to be patient and wait for the opportunity.

"I got some amazing instructions from Angel Fernandez and my team.

"Sometimes you need to say those things because it hits home.

"We're on a mission and we want to go places, so I took heed and just came out and did what I needed to do."
