Rivaldo is without question one of the greatest footballers in history.During the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Brazilian genius was arguably the best player on the planet and he deservedly won both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 1999.The best spell of Rivaldo's glittering professional career was undoubtedly at Barcelona, who he joined from Deportivo la Coruna in the summer of 1997.Rivaldo spent five years in Catalonia and performed to a world-class standard for pretty much the entire time he was there.The World Cup winner scored 130 goals, assisted a further 44 and dropped a plethora of masterclasses in both domestic and European competition.He's a bona fide Barcelona legend, which is why the great man lined up for the Spanish side's Legends team in a friendly match against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.And Rivaldo certainly delivered the goods at Anfield as well.The 49-year-old scored a second half penalty to secure a 2-1 win for Barcelona Legends and his successful attempt from 12 yards really was absolute perfection.Jerzy Dudek in goal for Liverpool couldn't get anywhere near the perfectly-placed shot from Rivaldo and in truth, no top-quality goalkeeper who's still playing professionally would have saved it either.

There is still some serious magic in that wand of a left foot. The penalty was so good that the LFC TV commentators were almost lost for words.
