Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping recently appeared on Jaackmaate’s podcast to promote his new documentary.

The Count's film looks through his time as a professional mixed martial artist and how he became a world champion.

Bisping was explaining to Jaackmaate, whose real name is Jack Dean the many ways in which you can win an MMA bout.

Dean then bravely, or somewhat stupidly, asked Michael if he could demonstrate a chokehold on him.

At first, Bisping was hesitant to perform the choke. Clearly worried that he could do serious damage to the Happy Hour presenter.

However, the former UFC champion finally agreed.

"So there's many different chokes, but this is called the rear naked choke," Bisping explained to Dean. "Relax, right give me your throat, you want to show it. You grab there and then you grab your bicep," before Jack eventually tapped out.

You can watch the moment Bisping locked in the choke at five minutes in the above video.

During his time as a professional fighter, Bisping struggled with several injury issues with his eye.

His retina was detached following a loss to Vitor Belfort back in 2013, and after the fight, UFC president Dana White explained that his career was over.

Despite the brutal injury, The Count opted to continue fighting. Following the defeat to Belfort, the Brit would go 7-2 before competing for the title.

The win over Anderson Silva put Bisping in contention for a title fight. Stepping in on short notice against Luke Rockhold, he had the chance to create history.

He did in fact go on to make history by knocking Rockhold out and becoming the first-ever UFC champion from England.

Bisping went on to defend the title once against Dan Henderson and retired in 2017 following a defeat to Kelvin Gastelum.

Since retiring, The Count has taken up the mic and has been seen commentating on UFC Fight Night events.

To this day, Bisping remains the only fighter from England to win a UFC title.

In what has been a remarkable career, he is a true pioneer of British MMA.
