A massive World Cup qualifier is ahead of us tonight as Portugal play host to North Macedonia.

North Macedonia provided one of the biggest upsets in modern European history as they ran out 1-0 winners against the current European champions Italy last Thursday - meaning they won't be featuring at the World Cup in Qatar.

Portugal on the other hand will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing the North Macedonians. They thought it'd be an ultimate showdown between them and Italy for who was to feature on the world stage in December.

But North Macedonia should not be underestimated. Their victory against Italy has proven they can conquer the best - so it'll be exciting to see how this one plays out.

Here's everything you need to know regarding Portugal vs North Macedonia.

Portugal have no fresh injury concerns, they'll still be without Ruben Dias but have got back two extremely solid defenders in Pepe and Joao Cancelo for this mightily important fixture.

Big game player Cristiano Ronaldo will most certainly lead the line, with Diogo Jota on the left, most likely being preferred to Joao Felix. Man of the match against Turkey, Otavio will most likely feature on the right.

North Macedonia on the other hand have some firepower returning to their midfield with Eljis Elmas and Tihomir Kostadinov both coming back from suspension.

This has fallen at the right time for the Macedonians as starting midfielder Boban Nikolov was taken off injured against Italy last week.

Portugal Predicted XI: Costa; Cancelo, Pepe, Fonte, Guerreiro; Silva, Moutinho, Fernandes; Otavio, Ronaldo, Jota

North Macedonia Predicted XI: Dimitrievski; S. Ristovski, Velkovski, Musliu, Alioski; Elmas, Kostadinov, Bardhi; Churlinov, M. Ristovski, Trajkovski

Matheus Nunes of Portugal celebrates with teammates after scoring their 3rd goal against Turkey

Despite North Macedonia's heroics against the Italians, we think Portugal should still comfortably win this one. The attacking firepower the Portuguese possess is some of the best in the world.

It would be a footballing story for the ages if the away side were to pull it off, but we think Portugal have this in the bag. 3-0.
