Richarlison to Arsenal has "legs" this summer, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

With both of their senior strikers out of contract at the end of the season, Mikel Arteta will be looking to bring in a frontman when the market reopens and the 33-cap Brazil international could become an option for the Gunners.

What's the latest news involving Richarlison?

The £45m-rated forward's future on Merseyside has been in doubt for some time, with Richarlison heavily linked with Barcelona and PSG in recent windows.

He has scored 47 goals during his four seasons at Everton which has seen him become a popular figure with the Goodison Park faithful, although his form has dropped off this term with just five goals in all competitions.

Despite his poor goalscoring return, Richarlison has attracted interest from Manchester United, who are also likely to revamp their frontline when the market opens for business.

But Jones reckons that Arsenal could target a move for the 24-year-old, who scored the equaliser in Everton's 2-1 victory over the Gunners when they last met back in December.

What did Jones say about Richarlison?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I know that Richarlison is one player being pushed in their direction at the moment and I know that is one that has probably got legs."

Would Richarlison be a good signing for Arsenal?

Richarlison has a proven record in England's top-flight, directly contributing to 58 goals in 163 games for Everton and Watford.

But the forward has never scored more than 13 goals in a Premier League season, and with the Gunners still looking to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was a regular at the top of the scoring charts, Richarlison being their only addition would be underwhelming.

Furthermore, Richarlison's attitude has been a problem in the past, and with Arteta getting rid of the likes of Mesut Ozil and Aubameyang in previous windows, the ex-Hornets man wouldn't exactly fit the bill in that sense.
