It was heartbreak once again for Mohamed Salah and Egypt against Senegal on Tuesday night.A little more than a month ago, the two nations met in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations. After a 0-0 draw, Senegal triumphed on penalties to claim the trophy.Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane scored the winning penalty with Salah missing the opportunity to take one having put himself fifth in line for Egypt.Egypt and Senegal met once again in a two-legged playoff to qualify for the Qatar World Cup.Last week, Egpyt claimed a 1-0 victory at home but Senegal followed suit in Dakar. After 210 minutes, nothing could separate the two sides once again.It was time for another penalty shootout.Salah learned his lesson and decided to take first for Egypt. But the away side had to deal with several lazers being pointed in the faces during the shootout and the Liverpool star blazed his kick over.

And there was a very familiar ending as Mane fired Senegal to the World Cup with the winning spot-kick.

After their passage to the World Cup finals were confirmed, Senegal fans were understandably delighted. Many invaded the pitch in order to celebrate. However, many invaded the pitch with the intention of getting at Egypt's star player - Salah.

A video has emerged of Salah's bodyguards having to push multiple Senegal fans away from the forward, who attempt to get to him.

Then, as he's marched down the tunnel, many fans throw objects at him from the stands.

That's not how you treat arguably the greatest player in world football.

Senegal had just qualified for the World Cup and they should have been celebrating their incredible victory. But some of them were clearly intent on targeting Salah.
