Throughout the years, Mike Tyson caught the eye of many boxing fans due to his high level knockout out power. With a professional record of 50-6-2, it’s fair to say that Tyson had a jaw-dropping career in the sport of boxing.Many fans would travel in their masses to see Tyson perform. With 44 out of his professional wins coming via a form of knockout, Mike had many memorable moments inside the ring.Now, a brilliant compilation has emerged on Twitter looking back on some of ‘Iron Mike’s’ finest knockout wins inside the ring.

  1. Mike Tyson vs Trevor Berbick (22/11/1986)-

Before the fight with Tyson, Berbick won the WBC heavyweight title over Pinklon Thomas. 

Heading into the dying seconds of the second round, Tyson landed an absolute bomb of a right hand on Berbick. The blow appeared to have really damaged Berbick as the champion was back peddling before ‘Iron Mike’ finished the fight seconds later to become the new WBC heavyweight champion.

2. Mike Tyson vs Frank Bruno II (16/03/1996)-

The pair first met in 1989, with Tyson picking up a fifth-round knockout. However, in the second fight, Bruno was out for revenge. 

Coming off of a win against Oliver McCall, Bruno was looking to retain his WBC title. From the off, Tyson was the aggressor as he was always looking to land that vicious overhand right.

Bruno regained his composure. However, in the third round, Tyson avoided a jab from Bruno before landing a 13 punch combination before finishing Frank midway through the third round.

3. Mike Tyson vs Buster Mathis Jr. (16/12/2022)-

This fight had huge importance for Tyson. A win meant that he would have the chance to fight for the title once again.

In the first round, Tyson was struggling to land clean as Mathis’ precise head movement was on point.

The second round saw Mathis continue to adopt the defensive approach and clinch whenever he had the opportunity. 

Late on in the third round, Tyson landed a few brutal uppercuts which dropped Mathis, who was then unable to continue. 

4. Mike Tyson vs Marvis Frazier (26/07/1986)- 

At the time, Mike was undefeated at 24-0. Chasing for a crack at the title, a win over Frazier meant that he would be one step closer to a chance to become a heavyweight champion.

Immediately, Tyson had Frazier on the defensive, using his left jab to back Frazier into the ropes. With Fraizer on the retreat, Tyson then unleashed two uppercuts which knocked Frazier unconscious.  

The first-round knockout win impressed many in the boxing community.

5. Mike Tyson vs Clifford Etienne (22/02/2003)-

Coming off of a crucial loss to Lennox Lewis, Tyson was aiming to get back to winning ways against Etienne.

From the off, Tyson would start aggressively by throwing brutal combinations, which caused Etienne to clinch with Mike. 

The pair would continue to clinch. After separation, Tyson would land a strong right hand with Etienne being unable to continue in what was one of Tyson’s quickest ever finishes.
