Haas have taken to Twitter to show their support of the brand-new Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be introduced into the calendar from next season.
The constructors have posted a brilliant picture on Twitter of the famous Las Vegas sign, but replaced the âLasâ with their very own âHaasâ to show their excitement for the announcement.
It really is Viva Haas Vegas!
Currently, Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher are driving for Haas, with the latter having to pull out of last weekendâs Saudi Arabia Grand Prix after a horrific crash in qualifying.
Magnussen, however, has had a positive start to the 2022 season, finishing inside the points in the first two races of the season.
Las Vegas will be hosting a Formula 1 Grand Prix from 2023 with a 10-year deal which is said to be worth £1 billion for the sport.
The Vegas track is 6.12km and will even pass famous landmarks such as the Bellagio fountains and Caesarâs Palace.
Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, said: âWe are doing something spectacularâ¦Itâs the perfect marriage. We are in an iconic city, weâre going to have the right atmosphere, the right intensity, the right passion. We feel at home here already.â
The Vegas Grand Prix will be the third American race in the Formula 1 season calendar. The track will be a street circuit similar to the Monte Carlo Grand Prix. The race will follow a scenic route through the famous strip of Las Vegas.
The F1 season continues next Sunday, April 10, as the drivers head to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
Itâs Charles Leclerc who leads the Driversâ Championship ahead of his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz. Current champion Max Verstappen has moved into third after winning in Saudi Arabia.
