The Tyneside club have serious financial backing behind them following their recent takeover and continue to be linked with some of the biggest names in world football.
What is the latest news involving Neymar and Kane?
Reports from Spain recently suggested that Newcastle want to sign Neymar when the transfer window opens in the summer.
According to these same reports, PSG are open to selling the Brazilian they paid £200m for almost five years ago.
To sign either player this summer is going to cost humongous money.

What has Jones said about Neymar and Kane?
While Newcastle are rumoured to have a budget of around £90m for the upcoming transfer window, Jones believes they would be willing to go well beyond that if the likes of Neymar and Kane become available.
Speaking to GMS, the football journalist said: “They’re linked with Neymar and Harry Kane, and they’re genuinely interested in those players if they become available. That’s when that [£90m] budget just gets blown apart.”
Do Newcastle have any chance of signing Neymar or Kane?
It seems highly unlikely. If Neymar and Kane really do become available at the end of the season, there are going to be some huge clubs at the front of the queue for their signatures.
The Athletic has already stated that Manchester United want the latter. At this stage of their project, it is hard to imagine Newcastle beating the Red Devils to Kane.
Ultimately, the likelihood is that Newcastle will have to continue targeting players at clubs closer to them, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
They signed individuals such as Dan Burn and Matt Targett from Brighton and Aston Villa respectively in January, and they have been able to make a huge impact at St James’ Park.
“He is very consistent,” manager Eddie Howe was quoted as saying by NewcastleWorld when discussing Targett’s performance against the Seagulls last month. “Defensively, he knows the position, inside and out.
“I have to compliment Dan Burn alongside him – against his former team, which is never easy – he was a giant, excuse the pun,” the 44-year-old added.
In the future, though, once their project is fully up and running, perhaps Newcastle could end up signing the next Neymar or the next Harry Kane.
