We now have a good indication as to why Shane McMahon was brought to Dallas for WWE WrestleMania 38.This week, it was reported that WWE was bringing Shane McMahon into Dallas for this weekend's WrestleMania 38 show.It wasn't noted whether or not Shane would be wrestling on the show, but fans did think that this was a possibility.Especially with Seth Rollins having no announced opponent for his match on night one, fans thought that Shane O'Mac could be revealed as Rollins' mystery opponent.

However, that won't be happening, as a new report from Dave Meltzer has explained why Shane is in town.

Meltzer explained on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that, like he does every year, Shane will be attending the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony tonight.

“He was gonna go no matter what. He goes to the Hall of Fame every single Hall of Fame, he’s always at the Hall of Fame. Of course he’s gonna go with Vince inducting Undertaker.

Meltzer went on to stress that McMahon's name hasn't been brought up, at least in a wrestling capacity, with regards to WrestleMania since January of this year.

On the creative team, his name has not been spoken about since January, it’s never been brought up.

People within WWE believe that Shane will just be in town to watch the show, given that it's WWE's biggest event of the year.

They're under the impression that he’s just going to the Hall of Fame, he’s gonna hang out at WrestleMania like he does every single year, and it’s a non-story, and people are making way too much of it.”

There will be a lot news coming out between now this weekend's pay-per-view, so make sure you stay tuned to GiveMeSport's WWE pages for any more information on the matter.

You can watch WrestleMania 38 this weekend live in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets on the WWE Network.
